It's not going to get much attention. The app developers determine which iOS version their apps will run on. Facebook made the decision to no longer support earlier iOS versions. There are workarounds as have been mentioned above, but don't expect any real change on this. I had this problem too, and found the solution in another thread so thought I'd cross-post. The "legacy" archived versions of apps are only downloadable if you have already "bought" the app even if it's free.
